These cookies have just a hint of pepper and I’m always a fan of salty sweets, especially when paired with chocolate. I wasn’t a fan of the dough, however. My first tray of cookies turned out best, maintaining their shape and thickness. The rest had warmed up so they spread a bit more, but it was necessary in order to work with with dough. It was hard and kind of crumbly and was really difficult to roll out. Once it warmed up a bit was fine, and the cookies are turned out to be pretty tasty. Larry says he likes this filling better than the one I made for the Oreos.
